Can I book a trial class first?

Yes, new visitors can book a free trial class to get acquainted with Het Gymlokaal and our classes.

Can I pause my membership?

In certain situations, such as an injury or pregnancy, it is possible to temporarily pause your membership. In the case of an injury, we require a medical statement.

How can I cancel my membership?

Can I change my membership?

Yes, you can always switch to a different membership type.

With an annual membership, you can upgrade from Limited to Unlimited, but you cannot switch to a flexible membership. If you downgrade your membership, the regular notice period applies. Upgrades are processed immediately.

What happens if I move?

If you have an annual membership and move to an address more than 15 kilometers away from Het Gymlokaal, it is possible to terminate your membership before the end of the contract period.

I’m a beginner. Can I join?

Absolutely. Our classes are suitable for both beginners and experienced participants. Our trainers are happy to help you get started.

If you have questions or would like advice on which class suits you best, feel free to contact the location where you would like to train.

Do I need to be fit before I start?

No. If your goal is to become fitter, you’re in exactly the right place. Our trainers can provide alternatives and modifications whenever needed.

What is the difference between Strength Training and Crosstraining?

Strength Training focuses primarily on building strength, improving technique, and becoming progressively stronger over time.

Crosstraining combines strength and conditioning in a single workout and offers more variety and intensity.

Do you offer personal training?

Yes, we offer both Personal Training and Duo Training. Together with an experienced trainer, you will work towards your personal fitness goals in a structured and effective way.

Can I exercise during pregnancy or after giving birth?

Yes. Our Women Strength classes are highly suitable during and after pregnancy.

If you would like to participate in other classes, please contact your preferred location. We are happy to advise you on which classes are most suitable for your situation.

What is the cancellation policy?

Classes can be cancelled free of charge up to 4 hours before the start of the class.

For Fitness/Open Gym reservations, the cancellation deadline is 2 hours before the start time.

For late cancellations or no-shows, a €5 fee will be charged.

How far in advance can I book a class?

Members can reserve classes up to 14 days in advance through our app.

Can I train at both locations?

Yes, with a valid membership you can use both our Amsterdam West and Amsterdam Noord locations.

Is parking available at Het Gymlokaal?

Both locations offer ample parking options in the surrounding area.

Is there a minimum age requirement?

For most classes, the minimum age is 16 years. Please contact us to discuss options for younger participants.
