What is your background in sport?
As a child I was always very active and I ran a lot. At the age of 20 I discovered the power of yoga. It has now been a journey of 8 years, during which I have increasingly focused on yoga and teaching yoga.
What can people expect from your classes?
I teach in a fairly traditional way. It may be slightly less playful than other teachers, but there is flow, with a focus on correct alignment and on the breath. I try to get the participants into the present moment and focusing on the breath is a good way to achieve this.
Is there something specific you want to teach your students?
I want to give my students the basic principle of yoga. Yoga is there to bring the mind to rest: “Yoga is the cessation of fluctuations of the mind.” Everything else follows naturally.
