What do you enjoy most about teaching at Het Gymlokaal?

What I enjoy most about Het Gymlokaal is the energetic team and of course the members, especially my students who follow the classes with great enthusiasm.

What is your sports background?

I started Taekwondo from a young age (five years old) in Suriname, where I competed in more than 100 competitions, with the highlight being the Youth Olympics in 2014. I then moved to the Netherlands, where my interest in kickboxing began. I gave Badr Hari private lessons in preparation for a competition in 2018. I also won a few kickboxing competitions myself. In addition, I won Best Fighter of the Night in 2018 at the Gala of the well-known Peter Aerts.

What is unique about your classes/way of teaching?

Every class is different, every class you learn something new. And I make sure all my students receive equal attention.

What is your specialty within the field of movement?

My style of fighting, especially my kicks. Among the members, my classes are called the Ninja - Kicks!

What quality should every good trainer possess?

Patience and passion for what he/she dedicates themselves to.

What can people expect from you as a trainer and from your classes?

Besides a great time, I always make sure you learn something new. Within, but often also outside your comfort zone.

What can you offer/teach people?

An interesting class, with a trainer who teaches with love and passion.
