What do you like most about teaching at Het Gymlokaal?

I love the space at HG. It is unique and inspiring. There is also always a really nice positive, welcoming atmosphere.

What is your education in the field that you are teaching?

I completed my 200hr yoga teacher training with Green Yoga India in 2017 and my 300hr in Rishikesh with the AYM school earlier in 2020. I have also trained with Coral Brown and Jason Crandell. I have also completed two separate Trauma-Informed trainings.

What is unique about your classes/ style of teaching?

I like to always have a focus in my classes, either on a specific body of poses, a part of the body or a general movement theme.

What is your specialty within the world of human movement?

Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga. I am particularly inspired by the work of Jason Crandell, Tiffany Cruikshank and Dice Ida Klein.

What qualities should every good trainer have?

I think a trainer should be open, kind, empathetic, have the ability to encourage students and have a passion for what they are teaching / sharing.

What can people expect from you as a trainer and your classes?

Bio-mechanically sound, inclusive classes that are suitable for all levels, where you have the opportunity to improve your mind-body connection. I also aim for people to leave class feeling balanced and hopefully, more at ease and peace in their minds and bodies.

What can you offer/ teach people?

I can offer people well rounded vinyasa classes that aim to move the whole body in the hour that we have together. My classes will always have a physical focus on building a balance between strength and length and a mental focus on awareness and relaxation.
