Gymnastics Fundamentals

Open for all levels. Develop strength and mobility and gain new physical skills on the floor, rings or bars.

In this class we work on the elemental strength and skills that are required for basic Gymnastics.

The class is designed to create a strong, flexible and capable physique. Rather than actual tumbling and acrobatics, the center of attention is placed on the basics. Primarily through bodyweight exercises and a main focus on technique and form we help you create better body awareness, solid strength, mobility and skill.  

The sessions are divided into three segments:

  • Handstand - develop the range, strength and skill of fundamental hand balancing.
  • Rings - work on straight arm strength, vertical pull & push.
  • Conditioning - a general focus on mobilising, strengthening and preparing the joints for gymnastics and other activities.

The sessions alternate weekly.
