What do you like most about teaching at Het Gymlokaal?
The fact that the members from Het Gymlokaal come from different backgrounds creates a very pleasant atmosphere during the lessons. And on top of that, they are very passionate and everyone tries to get the best out of themselves.
What is your background?
I have participated in several Crossfit competitions at the national and international level.
In conjunction with the knowledge acquired as a high level athlete . I have also completed several training courses to become a fitness trainer, including Fitvak A & B, CrossFit-L1, MILO, and Pre- and post-natal fitness.
What is unique about your lessons / way of teaching?
With a lot of energy and enthusiasm I try to teach people how to train in a safe way.
What is your specialty in the field of movement?
My specialty is to train women during pregnancy and postpartum. It is possible and even good to keep exercising during your pregnancy as long as it is done with a safe approach backed up with knowledge. (The same goes for recovery and building exercise after delivery.)
What quality should every good trainer possess?
Positivity & enthusiasm.
What can people expect from you as a trainer and from your lessons?
Alternating dynamic classes using various training disciplines such as bodyweight movements, weightlifting and different forms of fitness training.
What can you offer / teach people?
Guide women with their training routine during and after pregnancy, so that they can still exercise safely during this period. I also have a lot of experience with strength training.
