What is your background in sports?

I used to focus on HIIT workouts such as kickboxing, spinning, and running. As a teenager, I had the impression that yoga was too gentle for me and that my restlessness wouldn’t be suited for it. However, during a challenging period in my life, I attended my first candle-lit yoga class at the age of 19 and immediately became hooked. Practicing yoga made me realize that by committing to this practice, everything else became a little bit easier. Since then, yoga has become the most consistent and reliable tool in my life, both my personal practice, study, and teaching. It has transformed my perspective on how conscious body movement, whatever form that takes on, can serve as a healing practice that pulls you out of your head and strengthens mind-body connection, bringing calm amidst the chaos of life.

What can people expect from your classes?

You can expect a nurturing approach tailored to your unique body. I strive to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable and at home on their mat, so that yoga doesn’t feel like a chore, but rather a playful and empowering practice that allows space for whatever is happening in life.

Is there something special or specific you aim to teach your students?

In yoga, I aim to convey the understanding that the physical body becomes a vehicle for practicing life itself. What you cultivate on the mat, such as trust, patience, resilience, focus, and flow, can be carried off the mat and into daily life. Additionally, I emphasize the importance of relying on your breath to guide you through moments of discomfort.
