I then moved to the Netherlands, where my interest in kickboxing began. I gave Badr Hari private lessons in preparation for a competition in 2018. I also won a few kickboxing competitions myself. In addition, I won Best Fighter of the Night in 2018 at the Gala of the well-known Peter Aerts.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

My sports background is in football, but in recent years I&amp;rsquo;ve focused mainly on functional training and skill training. I&amp;rsquo;ve done a lot of self-study on the human body and how to train it. I studied the book &lt;em&gt;Overcoming Gravity&lt;/em&gt; intensively and still apply that knowledge heavily in my own training and classes. There&amp;rsquo;s a youthful, lively, very open and welcoming atmosphere.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What is your background?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;I&amp;rsquo;ve been practising yoga since 2007 and have been teaching Ashtanga Yoga for just over five years. I completed my first Yoga Teacher Training in 2014, then continued to specialise further in 2015 and 2016, and since then I keep taking trainings in anatomy and alignment every year. But most of my knowledge comes from my daily practice under the guidance of my teachers David Robson and Jelena Vesic.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

				<description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What is your sports background and what is your specialty within the field of movement?&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;I have been active in sport my whole life and since the age of 11 I have played top-division basketball. I come from a sporting family: my mother is a yoga teacher, my brother dances with the National Ballet and my sister competed in dance. My specialty within movement is a combination of strength, explosiveness and functional movement. I am currently in my third year at the Academy for Physical Education, a higher vocational degree programme to become a first-grade PE teacher.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

				<description>&lt;p&gt;With a background in football, fitness and Krav Maga, I ultimately found my passion in yoga. It gave me the structure and the challenge I was looking for. Always driven to grow, I joined Het Gymlokaal, where I discovered the inspiring connection between yoga and strength training. Since then, mobility, bodyweight training, balance and full-body coordination have formed the foundation of my practice.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;Becoming a trainer felt like a natural next step. I enjoy sharing the joy of movement and helping others grow, step by step. Every class is different, but fun always comes first. Whether you are just starting out or already balancing on your hands, I guide you at your own pace.
