What do you like most about teaching at Het Gymlokaal

Het Gymlokaal encourages and offers a full and exciting range of movement practices and it’s such a pleasure to be part of this dynamic offering where students come with an open mind and a smile.

What is your education in the field that you are teaching?

I trained 350 hours with Stretch London and 60 hours with Birthlight in Pregnancy Yoga.

What is unique about your classes/ style of teaching?

My classes create a safe and inviting space for play, to find curiosity in your body and movement practice and to start moving with autonomy and trust in what is possible.

What is your specialty within the world of human movement?

I teach an embodied yoga practice, with time for free movement and fluid creative flows. I also teach Pilates which is focused on building your strength for an advanced yoga practice as well as including some fun mobility practices.

What qualities should every good trainer have?

An ability to tune into the mood on the day, if the energy of the class is low than our class on that day will reflect it, getting more gooey, with more space to rest. If energy is running high the class will be full of play, and fiery options. Above all being personable is important and having the time to break things down one on one where needed.

What can people expect from you as a trainer and your classes?

A dive into creative embodied movement, with space to rest and space to play.

What can you offer/ teach people?

A possibly new way of moving.
