What do you like most about teaching at Het Gymlokaal?

It doesn’t matter where you come from, it is a place which welcomes everyone. A place where you are fully appreciated therefore grows, and a place where you have fun and you are being seen.

What is your background?

I have completed NL Active Fitness Trainer A & B. Regarding my career as a trainer I studied at the theater school, finished the Dance Academy and then decided to change my career plans.

What is unique about your lessons / way of teaching?

I like to interact with people and I personally emphasize on technique, attitude and challenge. My philosophy is always when you walk out of my training, that you: (1) have learned something about your technique and posture; (2) you leave feeling satisfied or happier than you began with; (3) that I have challenged you to get more out of yourself.

What quality should every good trainer possess?

Involved, warm, having an eye for details and a personal vision.

What is your specialty in the field of movement?

My specialty is movement analysis and looking specifically at people’s goals and what they can improve. I specialize in functional training, strength building, mobility and post-injury training. Because I have a past as a dancer, I can often give examples that appeal to the imagination, so that technique and adjustments to be made are understood  and executed.

What can people expect from you as a trainer and from your lessons?

I am an energetic trainer who likes to connect via sports, cross training or fitness. Sparring together, delving deeper into technique, a trainer who is in for a joke, accessible but also likes killer workouts to end the training. I am someone who is accessible and who likes to have a good time.

What can you offer / teach people?

What I especially want to impart and teach everyone is that the body you have is beautiful and good. A body changes and you have to enjoy that process; there is no right or wrong nor strong or weak. Fulfillment through achievements is my motto. I want to inspire people to love themselves and get better at certain aspects or achieve small goals.
